Specifications – New Construction
All fire hydrants that have yet to be approved for use must be covered and identified as being “Not in Service”. Identification bags shall be N.I.S. Bags manufactured of 4 mil. Polypropylene material, bright orange in color and bold print clearly showing “NOT IN SERVICE”. Tie straps shall be provided to firmly secure bags to hydrant.
